New machine: Ecosteryl 500

After several years of research and testing, Ecosteryl is launching a new machine: the Ecosteryl 500. This is the largest machine in the range, capable of processing double the current capacity, up to 500 kg per hour.

Until now, Ecosteryl’s best-selling machine was the Ecosteryl 250, which can disinfect 250 kg per hour and is widely used around the world. This new machine provides large companies and service providers with an easier solution to equip themselves.

Cities are expanding, waste management needs are increasing, and there has been a growing demand to process more medical waste per day with a single piece of equipment. Our R&D team has worked for several years on expanding our range, specifically on developing a larger machine. Key Features?

This robust machine weighs nearly 25 tons. It is equipped with a 4-shaft shredder and 18 microwaves. Its energy consumption is 80 kWh. The continuous system allows for the disinfection of 500 to 600 kg of infectious medical waste per hour.

The waste exits dry, shredded, and disinfected, ready to be sorted by our R-Steryl sorting center. The combination of an Ecosteryl 500 with R-Steryl clearly paves the way for a circular economy in medical waste management, offering a sustainable solution for any company aiming to adopt a more environmentally friendly approach.
